Introducing the activboard+2
Taken from a Promethean suppliers document.
From the end of March 2008, Promethean will be shipping New Activboard+2 which will replace the current version. Based largely on feedback gained from the marketplace, including existing users, installers and our Activpartners, the current product has had a comprehensive overhaul to enhance the complete user experience.
The principle of our flagship product remains the same; a height-adjustable, wall-mount Activboard integrated with a short-throw projector, audio and cabling system.
The principle user benefits remain the same too; safe and comfortable access to all parts of the board by the tallest and smallest of users, reduced shadowing, easier projector maintenance, ease of connectivity of computer and audio visual items and multi-award winning software.
However, New Activboard+2 has a totally new aesthetic concept and is better integrated than its predecessor with an improved cabling and connectivity system.
A new counterbalance system enables the board height to be more easily adjusted by users whilst the board height can be locked by teachers if required. Its new connectivity box has audio volume control and dual VGA switch.
The new Activboard+2 frame still utilises legs to support the weight of the system when installed on a variety of different wall structures.
Options will be available for stand-off brackets for mounting to walls where there may be obstacles and for an additional projector security solution.
The Sales Line
The new Activboard+2 isn’t just ideal because it’s been designed by teachers, for teachers. It’s also ideal because as an all-in-one interactive whiteboard system, it actually costs less than its individual components.
Thanks to our relationship with Sanyo, we’ve been able to integrate their state-of-the-art XE40 projector for the same amount as a conventional ceiling-mounted model.
What’s more, Activboard+2 is fully adjustable with a height range of 60cm.
Because it’s fixed just one metre from the board, it virtually eliminates shadows while projecting crystal-clear images. It’s quick and easy to install, and there’s no need to drill into the ceiling.
Plus with a choice of award-winning software – Activprimary or Activstudio – supplied at no extra cost, and with the option to lease rather than buy outright, it offers value no-one else can match.
There is always room for improvement but our new Activboard+2 has got it all. Taking all the benefits of its predecessor but now with a little more finesse and style. This all-in-one interactive whiteboard solution is fully adjustable with a height range of 60cm; simply slide the Activboard to the desired height and its ideal for both teachers and students of all heights. Now including extra security features, a lockable brake allows the system to be secured if left unattended.
What’s more, installation is quick and easy and there is no need to drill into the ceiling.
